America First Policy Institute Applauds the American Governor’s Border Strike Force Initiative
April 22, 2022
WASHINGTON, D.C.— America First Policy Institute released the following statement regarding the 26 Republican governors, led by Governor Doug Ducey (AZ) and Governor Greg Abbott (TX), forming the American Governors’ Border Strike Force.
"The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) applauds the American Governor's Border Strike Force initiative undertaken by over half of the Nation's governors in their collaborative attempt to confront the many crises stemming from our uncontrolled southern border. Each of these participating state leaders understands that the chaos occurring along the border impacts every state in the Nation. Drugs, crime, and human suffering enter at the border, but they ultimately impact communities and families across the United States. The diversity of the Border Strike Force underscores the reality that all cities are border cities, and all states are border states. When the federal government abdicates its constitutional responsibility to provide for the common defense of the Nation, it is heartening to see leaders at the state level step in and fill the void,” stated Chad Wolf Former Acting Secretary of DHS and Executive Director, Chief Strategy Officer of America First Policy Institute.
