AFPI ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF FORMER SECRETARY OF VETERANS AFFAIRS ROBERT WILKIE

June 30, 2022

Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) announced the addition of former Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert Wilkie to serve as a Distinguished Fellow in the Center for American Security at AFPI. Wilkie, the ninth former cabinet official affiliated with AFPI since its inception in April 2021, will serve alongside the former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, Lt. Gen (Ret.) Keith Kellogg, and former Chief of Staff of the National Security Council Fred Fleitz.

“We are thrilled to add yet another former cabinet secretary to the America First Policy team,” said Linda McMahon, Chair of the Board at AFPI. “As the former Secretary of Veterans Affairs and former Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, there are few people in this Nation with the breadth of experience of Secretary Wilkie serving our military, our Nation’s servicemen and women, and our veterans. We look forward to his leadership and dedication in fighting for all men and women who have served in our great military.”

Upon joining AFPI, Wilkie noted, “I am excited to continue the mission of the America First movement with the incredible team at AFPI. We can never forget the task at hand in serving and protecting the individuals who currently serve and those who previously defended our freedom wearing the uniform of the United States of America. There is still a lot of work to be done, but putting America First means putting our military and veterans first in everything we do.”
