STATEMENT: AFPI Praises Oklahoma for Banning Irreversible Child Sex Surgery

Washington, D.C. - Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Jack Brewer, AFPI’s Chair of the Center for Opportunity Now and Vice Chair of the Center for 1776, after Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed Senate Bill 613. This landmark legislation protects children by banning irreversible sex reassignment procedures for minors throughout the state.  

“Oklahoma has joined several other states to prevent the inhumane and anti-scientific transgender movement threatening our children. I applaud Gov. Kevin Stitt for taking the bold and necessary step of outlawing pseudo-medical procedures that mutilate our children and promoting medical professional conduct that is aligned with scientific and biblical truths. The rest of our Nation should adopt similar policies that protect children from irreversible damage and prioritize their safety and well-being.”
