AFPI Praises the House’s Passage of the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act
Washington, D.C. – Today the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Lou Holtz, Chair of AFPI’s Center for 1776, regarding the House’s passage of H.R. 734, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023:
“I remember over 50 years ago when women won the battle to obtain equal access and opportunities in sports. That was a huge win, and it has enriched the lives of millions. It is sad to see that this great Nation has regressed in such a way that one of the largest political debates in 2023 is whether to continue to protect women’s athletics. I am proud of those who are fighting on the side of basic fairness, biological facts, and spirituality to ensure the continued integrity of women’s sports. Thank you to those in the United States Congress and the states who are taking on this righteous battle!”
