STATEMENT: BROOKE ROLLINS, AFPI’S PRESIDENT & CEO, ON THE BUDGET RESOLUTION
August 23, 2021
Brooke Rollins offered the following statement on The Budget Resolution:
The Budget Resolution currently under consideration in the House is the next step toward a potential reconciliation bill with a more than $5 trillion price tag and a litany of harmful progressive policies that pose an existential threat to the American way of life. From job killing tax increases, to Green New Deal programs that will destroy American energy independence and raise energy prices for American families, to the creation of new social welfare programs and spending that will exacerbate inflation and further erode the value of the working American’s salary, to mass amnesty, this bill is guaranteed to be a socialist wish list of policies that undermine the American dream. Americans deserve policies that support American values, American freedom, and American prosperity. The America First Policy Institute is proud to stand on the front lines to educate Americans on the threat that these policies pose and the critical importance of policies that put America first. The future of our great Nation hangs in the balance.
