STATEMENT: Carla Sands on the House’s Rebuke of the Biden Administration’s Heavy-Duty Vehicle Emissions Rule
May 23, 2023
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Carla Sands, Vice Chair of the Center for Energy & Environment at AFPI, regarding the House of Representatives passage of S.J. Res. 11. This resolution provides congressional disapproval of the Environmental Protection Agency’s onerous heavy-duty vehicle emissions rule, which has massive implications for Americans across the country, especially America’s truck drivers:
“The Biden Administration’s latest disastrous climate regulation is a direct attack on America’s vital trucking industry. This rule will only make products more expensive for American consumers and hamper America’s critical supply chains.
Today, the House of Representatives delivered a decisive rebuke of the Biden Administration’s destructive climate agenda. The Biden Administration should heed Congress’s message and reverse course on their regulatory onslaught that is killing jobs, increasing costs for hardworking Americans, destroying America’s critical supply chains, and failing to meet environmental challenges.”
