STATEMENT: Mike Faulkender on the August CPI Release

Washington, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute released the following statement from Mike Faulkender, Visiting Fellow, regarding the August Consumer Price Index release:

“So much for inflation reduction. Today’s report shows that the inflation fire is still raging. Hardworking Americans continue to suffer under the Biden Administration’s big government blowout spending, and there is no relief in sight. Leading economic indicators point toward ongoing stagflation and recession. Forty-year-high inflation continues to crush Americans’ paychecks, yet the Biden Administration’s policies that got us into this mess are pressing full steam ahead.”
