Research Analyst / Program Manager, AFPI’s Scorekeeping Team

AFPI’s new scorekeeping team will serve all Americans, providing rigorous analyses and resources about the effects of public policy proposals on federal budgets and the American economy.

The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) is seeking an energetic and strategic Research Analyst / Program Manager to join its scorekeeping team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Support AFPI scorekeeping leadership in:
    • Research in economics, policy, technology, law, and other areas relating to tax, budget, and regulatory scorekeeping, directly supporting the Scorekeeping Director’s work and decision-making.
    • Project management, closely tracking projects to ensure they meet their schedules and deliverables. Includes contract management.
    • Marketing and communications support, identifying the AFPI scorekeeping team’s important constituencies and stakeholders and sharing AFPI’s work in coordination with AFPI specialists.
    • Fundraising and investor-relations support, assisting AFPI scorekeeping leadership in finding and getting to know prospective donor-investors in our work.
    • Augmenting AFPI’s cross functional units and Chiefs,
      • assisting their efforts to share and promote the scorekeeping team’s work.
      • assisting their efforts to communicate their policy needs to the scorekeeping team.


QUALIFICATIONS

The qualified applicant should respect knowledge yet have humility for the role of the expert in the policymaking process. Truth and what is best for America must be foundational motivations.

The qualified applicant will likely have experience managing sophisticated programs and/or projects as well as an interest and capacity for research. Entrepreneurialism, relationship building, and strategic thinking are all necessary traits. The combination of vision and attention to detail is prized, as is the ability to execute with measures of dependability and improvisation. Subject-matter familiarity with legislative processes or economic modeling would also be beneficial.

LOCATION:
The AFPI Scorekeeping Research Analyst/Program Manager may work remotely, in Washington, DC, or near Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
