America First Announces Leadership for Pennsylvania Chapter

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) announces the hiring of Mary Stiffler as the Executive Director of AFPI’s newly launched Pennsylvania State Chapter. The hire reflects AFPI’s latest ramped-up efforts to develop and support America First policies within the Keystone State.

Stiffler brings years of experience in nonprofit, business, and political management, including leadership positions during the 2020 presidential and 2022 midterm cycles in Pennsylvania. Due to a failure at the federal level to pursue policies that put American families first, the responsibility has fallen on leaders at the state level to protect and encourage everyday Americans. AFPI-Pennsylvania is uniquely situated to focus on policy solutions specifically designed for issues affecting their local communities, and Stiffler brings the leadership skills necessary to carry out this mission.

“Pennsylvanians are experiencing record-high inflation, a battle for quality education and school choice, and an assault on the energy industry that has offered their state so much prosperity for so long. With the direction of Stiffler, AFPI-Pennsylvania will serve as a stalwart of America First policies, championing the policies that place the needs of Pennsylvania families first,” said Carla Sands, Chair of AFPI-Pennsylvania and Vice Chair of AFPI’s Center for Energy & Environment, Former Ambassador to Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands, and Former U.S. Senate Candidate in Pennsylvania.

AFPI-Pennsylvania priorities include:

• Building prosperity and creating opportunities by developing a pro-business, pro-worker climate statewide.
• Expanding Pennsylvania’s energy leadership through opposing tax and regulatory proposals that favor some energy sources over others
• Strengthening Pennsylvania families and children by allowing parents to guide our education systems—not the government.
• Keeping Pennsylvania’s streets safe by fully funding law enforcement and holding criminals accountable.
• Making government work for the people by ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and elections are fair, secure, and transparent.
