Dr. Richard Rogers

National Director of Faith Engagement & Senior Fellow, Center for American Values

Dr. Richard Rogers is from Flowery Branch, Georgia and serves AFPI as National Director of Faith Engagement and Senior Fellow, Center for American Values. He earned his doctorate from Pepperdine University. Dr. Rich is currently on Free Chapel College's executive team and has served as the president for the last five years. In addition to his many roles at Free Chapel, he also served as a professor at Pepperdine University for over 20 years and has helped train over 2,000 teachers in Los Angeles schools. He formerly served as a high school administrator and football coach at one of the top football programs in America, Mater Dei High School, and was a part of five California State Championships and two USA Today and Sports Illustrated National Championships. During the Trump administration, he regularly met with faith directors from various departments and agencies. He is the father of four girls and was married to his wife Theresa for over 30 years before she passed in 2022 after an eight year battle with breast cancer.
