I’m Jenn Pellegrino, Chief Spokesperson for the America First Policy Institute, and we at AFPI are so glad you’re here. After a dark and painful four years, it’s time to celebrate what so many of us have longed for: a return to common-sense policies that reflect the values of real America.
We begin on a milestone occasion as the second trump administration celebrates its first month in office! President Trump has delivered dozens of promises made, achieving more in a matter of days than any president in American history. And while the media scrambles to keep up, we’ve got your back, Mr. President!
First, a top issue among voters in the 2024 election – is making America safe again amid the crisis inherited along our borders. President Trump took swift action on day one, declaring a national emergency at the southern border to halt the years-long invasion that ushered millions of unvetted illegal aliens into our country and accelerated the flow of deadly drugs into our communities. He designated the cartels and violent gangs like Tren de Aragua and MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations… and he signed the Laken Riley Act into law… honoring a young nursing student brutally murdered at the hands of an illegal alien released by the previous administration. Under the trump administration, gone are the days that violent criminals and gang members are released into our country. Just this week, White House Border Czar Tom Homan announced that illegal border crossings have already declined by over 97%. In less than a month!
On the global stage, wars, and rumors of wars are shifting toward peace, as bold America first leadership is back on the world stage! In the middle east, hostages are being released and returning to their loved ones. Direct peace talks with russia are underway for the first time. The malign Chinese influence in the Western hemisphere is being confronted and curtailed. And we applaud the incredible address given by Vice President jd Vance to our European allies, which served as a great wake-up call for our Western partners.
Fulfilling another campaign promise, President Trump stood up for women in sports when he signed a common sense executive order to keep biological men out of women’s sports. Protecting our female athletes from the locker room to the field and honoring the fierce dedication and training that leads many to the podium, now without the fear of losing to a male with a biological advantage.
Under President Trump’s watch, DEI in the federal workforce is D-O-A! President Trump issued an executive order to prioritize merit-based opportunity over the discriminatory practices embraced by the previous administration. America deserves the best, brightest, and most qualified for the job; our safety and security depend on it.
Further improving operations within the federal government, President Trump’s order to establish the Department of Government Efficiency, a-k-a-D.O.G.E, is off to an incredible start! Limiting government hiring to essential positions and reigning in outrageous unnecessary spending practices that have gone unchecked for decades. In just a matter of days, billions of reckless spending of your hard-earned tax dollars have been exposed with so much more to do!!!!
Justice for J-6ers. President Trump marked the end of a grave injustice for fifteen hundred of our fellow citizens who participated in protests at the capitol on January 6, 2021. reports of their treatment while incarcerated, unlike anything imposed upon rioters during 2020’s so-called summer of love. President Trump is unafraid to right injustice wherever it exists!
Next, a commitment to credibility. While fake news clogs our airwaves like a milkshake in a paper straw-good riddance-access to the white house briefing room is a privilege, and the American people deserve the facts, not so-called news through the liberal lens of so-called journalists with an agenda. Kudos to Karoline Leavitt and the white house press office, under President Trump’s leadership, for holding media accountable and acknowledging the work of independent journalists, podcasters, and alternative platforms amid a changing media landscape.
These are just a handful of the many actions taken in the first month of the Trump administration that put Americans first, and we look forward to celebrating many more in the days to come.
