Amicus Brief to Support Navy Seals with Vaccine Religious Exemptions
America First Policy Institute (AFPI) filed an Amicus Curiae in support of U.S. Navy SEALs 1-26, et al., v. Joseph R. Biden, et al., in the Northern District of Texas, Amarillo Division.
This pending litigation, brought on by First Liberty, involves 35 U.S. Navy SEALs who are seeking a legal, religious accommodation to the Department of Defense (DoD) vaccine mandate. The Navy SEALs represented in this case have had their careers and livelihoods threatened with punishment, involuntary separation, and even court-martial.
Statement from the Chair of AFPI’s Constitutional Litigation Partnership, Pam Bondi:
“The Constitutional Litigation Partnership stands strong in supporting the United States Navy SEALS in their fight against the unconstitutional vaccine mandate. No one, including our military, should be required to choose between violating their religious beliefs and serving our country. We stand united with our men and women in uniform and their families. These heroes have selflessly served our Nation and dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms – it is now our turn to protect theirs.”
