Bob Unanue & Chad Wolf Reject Political Hypocrisy & the Open Border Policies of the Left

Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement from Bob Unanue, Chair of the AFPI’s Hispanic Leadership Coalition, and Chad Wolf, Executive Vice President and Chair of the Center for Homeland Security and Immigration:

“It is both hypocritical and morally bankrupt to watch Senator Chris Van Hollen and other leftist politicians clamor for the release of a MS-13 gang member and illegal alien in El Salvador, while they stayed silent during the humanitarian crisis unleashed by the Biden-Harris administration’s open-border agenda. Where was their outrage when American families were devastated by fentanyl pouring across the southern border, when children were trafficked by cartels, and when criminal illegal aliens took the lives of innocent Americans? These political stunts reveal just how disconnected they are from the pain and suffering their own policies have inflicted on the very communities they claim to champion—especially Hispanic families who bore the brunt of this manufactured chaos.

President Nayib Bukele has the sovereign right to restore order in his country—just as America has the duty to protect its citizens. AFPI stands with every community harmed by the lawlessness these so-called progressives enabled. We will not remain silent while politicians manipulate justice for press headlines and turn a blind eye to the devastating consequences of their own failed policies. The American people deserve better than political theater—they deserve leadership rooted in truth, courage, and a commitment to putting America First.”
