General Kellogg joined Cavuto on Fox Business to discuss the Israel strikes in Lebanon.
In a recent interview on Fox Business, General Keith Kellogg provided his insights on the recent Israeli strikes in Lebanon, highlighting a significant rift between the United States and Israel. Despite public assurances of unity, Kellogg pointed out a lack of trust from Israel towards the U.S., particularly regarding the information about the strikes.
Kellogg emphasized that Israel conducted a comprehensive operation targeting key figures from Hamas and Hezbollah, demonstrating their strategic depth. This included the elimination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Doha and Hezbollah’s senior figure Shokr, linked to the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing.
General Kellogg criticized the U.S. administration's passive stance, arguing that America's disengagement could exacerbate the conflict. He referenced historical precedence, such as President Nixon’s decisive support for Israel during the Yom Kippur War, suggesting that active U.S. involvement is crucial for regional stability.
The general warned of the escalating situation, with Iran's involvement through its proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas, signaling a broader conflict. Kellogg urged for a robust response to support Israel, stressing that only the U.S. has the influence to mediate and potentially de-escalate the hostilities.
