SCOTUS Overturns Chevron Case

Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement after the Supreme Court overturned Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council, course correcting a nearly 40-year precedent that allowed for the rise and dominance of the administrative state.

"This ruling is a major step toward restoring the separation of powers as intended by the Framers. The Administrative State significantly impacts our daily lives by unilaterally creating and enforcing rules and regulations within the executive branch instead of implementing the laws passed by Congress,” said Mike Berry, Executive Director of AFPI’s Center for Litigation. “Despite the alarmist predictions from Chevron's defenders, America will thrive under the framework of coequal branches of government established by our Founders. We commend the Supreme Court for its boldness in correcting this long-standing issue.”
