STATEMENT: QUICKLY CONFIRM MICHAEL FAULKENDER FOR DEPUTY SECRETARY OF TREASURY

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) proudly supports Michael Faulkender, Ph.D., President Trump’s pick for Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury and encourages a swift confirmation in the Senate.

AFPI Chief Spokesperson Jenn Pellegrino said the following in support of Faulkender’s nomination:

“President Trump made an incredible choice in nominating Michael Faulkender for Deputy Secretary of Treasury. Faulkender was formerly the Vice-Chair of AFPI’s Center for American Prosperity and has a long track record of experience and success. He served as chief economist and assistant secretary for economic policy from 2019-2021 at Treasury during President Trump’s first Administration. He also taught corporate finance, financial economics, and public policy at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland since 2008.
