Leigh Ann O’Neill

Chief of Staff for the Center for Litigation & Senior Legal Strategy Attorney

Genuine liberty means not merely being free from interference but also from ignorance, from prejudice, from an unwillingness to listen and learn.

- John Stuart Mill

A dedicated advocate for civil rights, equality, and free speech, Leigh Ann serves as the Chief of Staff for the Center for Litigation and Senior Legal Strategy Attorney at the America First Policy Institute. She plays a key role in shaping and executing legal strategies to uphold constitutional freedoms and challenge government and institutional overreach.

Prior to her work at AFPI, Leigh Ann was deeply involved in upholding individual liberties at the Foundation Against Intolerance & Racism (FAIR), where she served as the Director of Legal Advocacy. At FAIR, she assessed civil and constitutional rights violations, coordinated litigation efforts with a national network of attorneys, and took action against institutions violating legal protections. Her work helped hold schools, businesses, and government entities accountable for discriminatory policies and practices.
Leigh Ann earned her Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University and her law degree from Indiana University School of Law. She lives in central Indiana with her husband, three children, and two dogs. Her family shares a love for snow skiing and all types of water sports.

With a steadfast commitment to defending equality under the law, individual liberty, and freedom of speech, Leigh Ann continues to fight against injustice and ensure that fundamental rights are protected for all.
