Statement: Steve Yates Applauds House China Select Committee for Groundbreaking Report Exposing CCP Complicity in the Fentanyl Epidemic

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Steve Yates, Chair of the China Policy Initiative at AFPI, applauding the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party:

“Illicit fentanyl has claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans. For too long, officials in China feigned ignorance when it came to the manufacture and export of the illegal and deadly precursor chemicals.

The Select Committee’s bipartisan findings lay bare that not only has the Chinese government known all along, they have been subsidizing the greatest external attack on the American family since the founding of our Republic. It is high time for our elected leaders and all of America to make this a priority, halt the assault, and hold accountable those who have brought this angel of death into our homes.”
