Adam Savit

Director, China Policy Initiative

I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.

- Mark Twain

Adam Savit is from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and serves as Director for China Policy at AFPI. He previously served as Senior Advisor for National Security to Secretary Brooke Rollins at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he implemented policies to protect American farmland, agricultural supply chains, and critical infrastructure from the People’s Republic of China and other foreign adversaries. Savit was a founding member of AFPI’s China Policy Initiative in 2022 and author of a chapter on China in AFPI’s 2024 book "An America First Approach to U.S. National Security," which has influenced China policy and thought at embassies, newsrooms, and think tanks in Washington, D.C., and Asian capitals. Savit has testified in state legislatures across the U.S., including Texas, Ohio, Kansas, and South Dakota, to advocate against CCP control of agricultural land and land near military bases and sensitive infrastructure. Prior to his position at AFPI, he helped to lay the foundations for the China Program at the Center for Security Policy, where he worked in research and communications roles for more than a decade. Savit is a John Quincy Adams Fellow at the Common Sense Society and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Relations from Pennsylvania State University.
