Victor L. Hernandez

Development Officer

Victor L. Hernandez serves as a Development Officer at the America First Policy Institute, where he is dedicated to advancing the organization's mission through strategic fundraising and donor engagement. With over a decade of fundraising experience, Victor has secured major gifts, cultivated key relationships, and contributed to transformative philanthropic initiatives.

Before joining AFPI, Victor played a pivotal role in fundraising efforts for the National Coast Guard Museum, Tulane University, and the University of Maryland. While at the National Coast Guard Museum, he was instrumental in a $150 million capital campaign, where he secured significant contributions to ensure the project's success.

A proud graduate of Tulane University, Victor earned his degree with honors while working full-time and attending classes at night. Originally from New Orleans and a son of Puerto Rican parents, he embraces both vibrant cultures, whether listening to jazz in his hometown or dancing to salsa at any family gathering. He also loves to cook local dishes that reflect both heritages. Recently, he and his wife welcomed a beautiful son into the world, and Victor is excited that, through his work at AFPI, he can help build a better America for them and future generations.
