Renee Hudson is from Concord, North Carolina, and serves as the Chief of Staff and; Chief Government Affairs Officer at AFPI. She has over 20 years of government affairs experience. Prior to AFPI, Renee served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy under President Donald J. Trump. In that role, Hudson was responsible for overseeing staff on the Domestic Policy Council to develop and execute the president’s domestic policy initiatives. During her time in the White House, she also served as Chief of Staff to Kellyanne Conway, Senior Counselor to the President. Before that, Hudson spent 13 years on Capitol Hill serving as Chief of Staff to four U.S. Representatives. She attended the University of Colorado, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Hudson, her husband, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson, and their young son live in Concord, North Carolina.
