AFPI Applauds House, Senate Bills to Expand Education Opportunities
Washington, D.C. – Education-reform leaders the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) today applauded the introduction of the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) in the House and Senate. The legislation expands school choice and provides educational opportunities for children and families nationwide.
“The Educational Choice for Children Act empowers parents to choose the best educational environment for their children,” said Erika Donalds, chair of AFPI’s Center for Education Opportunity. “This bill is a significant step towards fulfilling President Trump's promise to provide school choice to every family in America. Expanding scholarship access for K-12 students via this bill ensures every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their family's income or ZIP code.”
“ECCA is a critical step toward reshaping the future of how students learn and succeed,” added Laurie Todd-Smith, director of the Center for Education Opportunity. “Every child deserves access to a quality education, and it's time to put the power back in the hands of parents. These bills will make that a reality.”
