AFPI Congratulates President Trump on Revocation of Biden’s Weaponization EO

Washington, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) congratulates President Trump on the much-needed revocation of the Biden Administration’s Executive Order (EO) 14019. This EO weaponized the federal government by mandating that all federal agencies actively participate in voter registration. As part of the enactment process, the Biden White House held listening sessions with far-left groups including the Southern Poverty Law Center, ACLU, Demos, and Black Lives Matter, which strongly suggested that the EO was intended to give a partisan advantage to liberal Democrats. AFPI and a number of named plaintiffs previously filed a lawsuit in federal court challenging the legality of EO 14019.

“President Trump has taken quick action to ensure that federal government agencies are no longer weaponized when it comes to voter registration,” said AFPI Center for Election Integrity Chair Ken Blackwell. “We applaud him for prioritizing this issue on Day 1 and encourage his new administration to investigate any actions taken by federal agencies under EO 14019. Finally, Americans can trust that the federal government is not providing a partisan advantage to one side or the other in voter registration.”
