AFPI Praises Supreme Court Decision in Harvard and University of North Carolina Affirmative Action Cases
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Pam Bondi, Chair of the Constitutional Litigation Partnership and Co-Chair of the Center for Law and Justice at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI), after the United States Supreme Court delivered a landmark victory for proponents of race-neutral enforcement of civil rights protections.
“Today, the United States Supreme Court correctly called discrimination what it is – wrong, regardless of the skin color of the intended beneficiary. The Court rightly struck down Harvard’s and the University of North Carolina’s unconstitutional use of racial preferences in admissions. By ending race discrimination in the name of campus ‘diversity,’ the Court today makes real progress toward fulfilling Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream of a society where people will not be judged based on the color of their skin but according to merit and the content of their character.”
