America First Policy Institute Launches New Jersey State Chapter, Announces Leadership to Champion Garden State Priorities
Washington, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) announced the establishment of its newest state chapter in New Jersey, extending its mission of empowering local communities through proven America First solutions. This announcement coincides with AFPI’s broader state chapter initiative, already underway in Florida, Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and California, as part of its goal to establish a nationwide network of policy hubs.
The New Jersey chapter will be led by two dynamic leaders who bring deep experience and commitment to advancing the Garden State’s interests:
- Michael John Donohue, former Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court and a leading advocate for Cape May County, will serve as Chair of the AFPI-New Jersey chapter.
- Matt Rooney, a lifelong New Jersey resident, practicing attorney, and founder of the influential platform Save Jersey, will serve as Executive Director of the AFPI-New Jersey chapter.
“As a proud New Jersey native, I am honored to support the launch of AFPI-NJ, a vital step toward protecting our shared values of faith, family, freedom, and meaningful work,” said Bob Unanue, AFPI Board Member, Hispanic Leadership Coalition Chair, and President and CEO of Goya Foods. “By championing America First policies, we are laying the foundation for prosperity, security, and opportunity for every family in the Garden State. Together, we will ensure that New Jersey thrives and leads the way in putting America first.”
The chapter’s key priorities include:
- Opposing Harmful Offshore Wind Projects: Fighting to protect New Jersey’s coastline, economy, and communities from foreign-owned wind farms that threaten local industries and natural resources.
- Economic Freedom: Cutting taxes and reducing regulations to empower families and small businesses.
- Good Governance: Increasing transparency to eliminate corruption in state government.
- Strengthening Public Safety and Education: Advancing policies that support law enforcement, secure communities, and give parents a stronger voice in their children’s education.
AFPI’s state chapters represent a critical step in advancing local solutions to national challenges. Leadership announcements for other state chapters will follow in the coming weeks as AFPI continues its mission to empower communities across America.
