America First Stands with President Donald Trump Following Assassination Attempt in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from President and CEO Brooke Rollins on the assassination attempt of President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.

"Tonight, the America First Policy Institute and America First Works join the nation in prayer for President Trump, the victims of this senseless act, and the courageous efforts of the United States Secret Service and law enforcement officers who responded with unwavering dedication. This attempted assassination, driven by hatred, is profoundly un-American and not a means to resolve ideological differences.

I have had the privilege of working with, praying with, and fighting for America alongside President Trump. I didn't think I could admire the man more than I do, but I could not be prouder to be on President Trump's team than I am this evening.

Veterans will tell you that combat reveals a man's true character. July 13, 2024, will be recorded as the day when President Trump's true character was revealed to the entire world: he's a man who comes under fire, takes a hit, feels the blood, and stands back up... with his fist raised.

Courage — real courage — is not a thing of the moment. It is enduring. It is restless. And President Trump's courageous story — this American story — is not over, and we thank God for it."
