BIG TECH CENSORSHIP IS BACK! Meta Suspends/Deletes America First Policy Institute’s Instagram Account Less Than Seven Minutes After Online Appeal, Account Deleted
WASHINGTON, DC –Today, Instagram, through its parent company Meta, suspended and then immediately deleted the account of the America First Policy Institute - @A1Policy.
“After posting graphics highlighting the radical Left’s duplicity and egregious double standards relating to Hunter Biden’s failure to honor a Congressional subpoena, this morning the America First Policy Institute’s Instagram account was suspended and deleted by the leader in Big Tech censorship, Meta,” said Brooke Rollins, President and CEO of the America First Policy Institute. “Once again, when the Left is confronted with the facts, they do everything in their power to silence and censor those with whom they disagree, including removing their opponents from the ballot.”
This move by Meta is part of a larger pattern in recent years of Big Tech censoring those in opposition to their liberal beliefs.
- Meta suspended the New York Post for publishing the truth about the Hunter Biden laptop.
- Meta blocked people from sharing information about the Hunter laptop.
- Meta blocked, throttled down, and suspended people whose posts about COVID-19 didn’t match their government-provided talking points.
In the most famous case of censorship, Meta suspended the account of former President Donald J. Trump. In 2021, the America First Policy Institute worked with outside counsel and the former president to file a lawsuit, still pending, against Big Tech.
“We sued Big Tech on behalf of President Trump and in support of America’s right to free speech. We will do it again, if necessary, to defend our right to speak truth to liberal elites about their failed policies that are turning our country into a mess,” added Rollins. “Big Tech and the woke progressive left didn’t learn their lesson last time; those who put America First will not be silenced.”
The America First Policy Institute plans to seek legal action against Meta later today.
