Fred Fleitz joined the Chris Salcedo Show on Newsmax to discuss the assassination attempt.
Fred Fleitz recently appeared on the Chris Salcedo Show on Newsmax to discuss the concerning assassination attempt on President Trump. Joined by Lieutenant Colonel Tony Shaffer, Fleitz addressed the shocking security failures that allowed the would-be assassin, Mr. Crooks, to get close enough to almost carry out the attack. Shaffer pointed out that a counter-sniper team had taken a photo of the suspect 30 minutes before the incident, yet failed to act. This oversight is particularly troubling given the rigorous security protocols typically in place, which Shaffer, a seasoned law enforcement officer and security detail member, emphasized should have prevented such a lapse.
Fleitz criticized the response of law enforcement and the Secret Service, likening their actions to those of the Keystone Cops. He highlighted that effective measures, such as installing barriers to prevent external threats, were not implemented. Furthermore, the suspect had already raised suspicions hours before the rally but was still able to infiltrate the event. Fleitz and Shaffer called for a thorough investigation into the multiple security breaches and stressed the need for accountability to ensure the safety of prominent political figures in the future.
