Janet Naughton
Senior Project Manager, America First Transition Project
Janet is originally from Jackson, Mississippi, and serves as Senior Program Manager for the America First Transition Project. She has more than three decades of diverse legal experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Her political service began at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in the Reagan Administration, followed by positions in each of the subsequent Republican administrations at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of the Interior, and most recently at the U.S. Department of Energy. She also served in the Office of White House Counsel, where she provided comprehensive ethics and conflict of interest advice to White House personnel. Her Federal career also included work as a civil service attorney working with more than 40 Federal agencies as clients.
Janet earned a B.B.A. from the University of Mississippi, a J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law, and an L.LM. in Corporate Law from George Washington University Law Center.
Janet and her husband reside in Virginia. They have one adult daughter. Janet enjoys traveling, photography, and baking.
