Matthew is from Columbus, Ohio, and serves as the Director of Government Affairs at AFPI. Henderson has worked for a leading trade association, Fortune 100 companies, and elected officials at all levels of government through senior positions on 15 campaigns, including time served in the United States House of Representatives and Senate. Henderson most recently was at a Top 100 global public relations firm servicing web3 and blockchain-based clients in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Matthew was the management consultant behind AFPI’s successful campaign to kill the $6 trillion Build Back Better bill in 2021. The initiative spanned multiple states as part of the Save America Coalition and was composed of roughly 120 conservative leaning organizations. During his experiences working in crisis communications, Matthew publicized Senator Mitch McConnell’s first sanctioned biography “Republican Leader,” in 2009. Henderson was also the lead consultant for School Choice Ohio’s 2011 landmark legislation doubling Ohio Ed Choice opportunities.
