Internship - America First Transition Project
Interns will help advance AFPI’s mission by supporting the America First Transition Project (AFTP). Specifically, interns will support senior Transition Project staff through stakeholder coordination, operations assistance, policy research, and writing. The successful candidate will have exceptional writing, research, and organizational skills. All candidates must be aspiring servant leaders who look to gain valuable experience in learning how the federal government can better serve the American people.
This is an in-person internship in Washington, D.C. Interns will receive a monthly stipend. Applications are due by July 31, 2024.
Specific job duties include:
- Assist AFTP Leadership and Operations Teams in various tasks, including the management and tracking of work product by other team members; ensuring the swift interviewing, vetting, and onboarding of new team members; and supporting the training development team as they deliver in-person sessions.
- Assist with scheduling coordination for the Chair, Vice Chair and COO of the Transition Project.
- Support development of presentation materials for meetings with various internal team members as well as update materials external stakeholders.
- Conduct research for AFPI senior leaders in various policy areas.
- Translate research into written drafts for numerous policy documents (e.g., research memoranda to support draft executive orders).
- Enhance management of AFPI’s extraordinary volunteer list.
- Other duties as assigned.
