Law Clerk, Center for Litigation - Fort Worth, TX

Legal Department

DESCRIPTION:
The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) is seeking motivated law students with a passion for public interest litigation. The qualified applicant should possess a deep respect of American liberty and constitutional law, and an eagerness to challenge legal precedent and convention in the service of both.
This law clerk will work to blaze new pathways that protect and defend America First policies and constitutional freedoms against the egregious overreach of Big Government.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Law clerks will report to AFPI’s General Counsel and will be called upon to assist in executing AFPI’s legal mission. They will be active participants in complex litigation and responsible for creating tracking systems, research projects, drafting memoranda, client communication, coordinating meetings, and supporting press and communication efforts. Law clerks will assume substantial responsibility from day one and should be prepared to do so.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Law clerks must be current law students, preferred 3L, but qualified 1L and 2L students will be considered. They must possess strong reading, research, writing, and communication skills. They must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively, and actively support AFPI’s mission to put the American people first. Full commitment to AFPI’s vision for constitutional restoration is just as important as the core competencies necessary to serve as a law clerk.

LOCATION:
Law Clerks are required to be in-person in Fort Worth, TX.

The position’s salary will be commensurate with the experience, expertise, and skills of the candidate who accepts the position. Please apply with a cover letter, resume, salary requirement, and references.

AFPI is a non-profit, non-partisan research institute offering competitive salaries and benefits to qualified candidates.
