America First Policy Institute Deepens Bench; Announces Addition to Center for American Security Team
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Policy Institute (AFPI) announced the addition of Kash Patel as its newest Senior Fellow at the Center for American Security. Patel served several roles in the Trump Administration that included Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council, and Principal Deputy to the Acting Director of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Richard Grenell.
“I’m excited to join the America First Policy Institute as a Senior Fellow for the Center of American Security,” said Kash Patel. “AFPI is an organization that is unapologetically committed to protecting our Nation and preserving the values that make America strong. The work of the security team has set a high bar, and I’m eager to build on their success as we continue to confront the threats facing our country and ensure that the America First Trump agenda remains at the forefront of our national policy.”
“We are thrilled to announce the expansion of the America First family with Kash Patel’s addition to the Center for American Security,” said Brooke Rollins, President and CEO of AFPI. “From managing the operations of the 17 intelligence community agencies under the Director of National Intelligence to overseeing the elimination of ISIS and Al-Qa’ida leadership at the National Security Council to serving as the Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Kash has devoted his career to serving his country and protecting the American people. He now brings that passion and leadership to AFPI at a time when U.S. national security has never been in such peril.”
“We welcome Kash Patel as the newest member of our national security team,” said Lt. General (Ret.) Keith Kellogg, former National Security Advisor to President Trump and VP Pence and Co-Chair of AFPI’s Center for American Security. “Kash is a warrior within the America First movement with a track record of fighting back on governmental overreach and challenging the status quo within our broken national security apparatus. His addition to our team will help us advance the common mission: America First, always.”

About Kash Patel:
Kash Patel currently serves as Senior Advisor for National Security, Defense, and Intelligence to President Trump. After more than a dozen years in government service as a public defender, national security prosecutor, and JSOC civilian, Patel took senior leadership positions in the Trump Administration, including Chief of Staff for the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Deputy Assistant to President Trump and Senior Director for Counterterrorism. As the chief investigator for Congress’ Russia Gate investigation under then-Chairman Devin Nunes, Patel exposed rampant illegal activity by those leading our law enforcement agencies. He uncovered the unlawful spying of the FBI and DOJ on the Trump campaign, including intentionally withholding evidence of innocence from the FISA Court, the falsification of court documents, and authored the famous Nunes Memo, which laid out the historic corruption and weaponization of law enforcement. Patel is the author of the bestselling book Government Gangsters, which exposes Deep State government corruption. President Trump called this book “a brilliant roadmap to take back the White House and remove these gangsters from all of government.” Patel is also the producer of Steve Bannon’s film adaptation of his bestselling book, which was released under the same title. He authored two children’s books with much critical acclaim: Plot Against the King and The Plot Against the King 2. He is the Founder of The Kash Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing financial assistance to active-duty service members and veterans, legal defense funds, and education programs. Patel currently sits on the board of directors for Trump Media Technology Group.
