Department of Defense Rescinds COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for Service Members
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Lt. Gen (Ret.) Keith Kellogg, Co-Chair of the Center for American Security at the America First Policy Institute, released the following statement regarding the Department of Defense rescinding its COVID-19 vaccine mandate:
“It is about time. It was unconscionable for the Department of Defense to impose this ill-conceived vaccine mandate on our brave men and women in uniform over their deeply held religious beliefs. It is time to get woke politics out of our military and get back to its core mission of defending this great Nation and, if necessary, fighting and winning our Nation’s wars.”
Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Chair of the Constitutional Litigation Partnership at the America First Policy Institute, released the following statement:
“The Department of Defense following the congressional directive to rescind the vaccine mandate for our military was a first step; however, there is much more that needs to be done to right this wrong. Many servicemembers faced career-ending actions because of Biden’s unconstitutional mandate. The America First Policy Institute represents 36 members of the Air Force in the largest military vaccine mandate case in the country and will continue to fight for those who have laid everything on the line for our great Nation.”
