Crime is out of control in this country under Biden-Harris policies. Vice President Harris’s support of policies that are soft on the border and soft on crime has made it worse. She said she wants to reimagine public safety and supports defunding the police. Here are the facts:
BY THE NUMBERS
- During the Biden-Harris Administration in 2021, at least 12 major U.S. cities set new homicide rate records.
- Last year, at least nine cities saw record homicide rates.
- Retailers are closing stores in cities across the country amid uncontrollable theft.
- An FBI report provided data on over 11 million criminal offenses committed in 2021, but those numbers likely undercount the true level of crime because of the high number of law enforcement agencies that failed to report their data.
- The report showed a 5.6% increase in crime over the already historically high 2020 levels.
- Of the 30 cities with the highest murder rates as of June 2022, 27 were led by Democratic mayors and at least 14 Soros-backed or Soros-inspired rogue prosecutors.
- In those 14 cities, here were 1,752 homicides, representing 68% of homicides in the 30 top homicide cities in the United States.
- In Vice President Harris’ home state of California, LA County saw an 8% increase in violent crime in 2022 when compared to 2019.
- Orange County saw a 32% increase in violent crime in 2022 compared to 2019.

Myth: Vice President Harris’ history as a prosecutor means she is qualified to handle crime.
Fact: Vice President Harris’ track record and approach toward criminal justice belies a willingness to take crime head on. Vice President Kamala Harris calls it "outdated" thinking that police officers make communities safe, and she opposes the use of solitary confinement for dangerous, incarcerated criminals. She also defends lawless sanctuary cities.
Myth: Crime is down under the Biden-Harris Administration.
Fact: Crime has SURGED in the United States, particularly in the Biden-Harris Administration’s backyard of Washington, D.C., where homicides spiked by 35% in the district
Myth: Then-Senator Kamala Harris never raised money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a far-left organization which pays to bail out violent criminals.
Fact: Kamala Harris helped fundraise over social media for the Minnesota Freedom Fund. In addition to paying bail for looters arrested in the 2020 riots, the fund also paid bail for a twice-convicted rapist, a man accused of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl, among dozens of other criminals.
Myth: Then-Prosecutor Kamala Harris has supported the criminal justice system through her experience and policies.
Fact: Harris’s approach completely fails to hold criminal perpetrators accountable for their actions. She advocated for the elimination of cash bail, a dangerous far-left policy that has littered American communities with more and more dangerous criminals. Instead, she has focused on criticizing the police, calling for the creation of a federal review board to investigate any and all police shootings.
