STATEMENT: AFPI Applauds Georgia State Legislature for Banning Transgender Medical Care of Minors
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Jack Brewer, AFPI's Chair of the Center for Opportunity Now and Vice Chair of the Center for 1776, commending the Georgia state legislature for passing a bill that protects children by banning doctors from prescribing cross-sex hormones or conducting surgeries related to a gender dysphoria diagnosis on minors:
“Policymakers in all levels of government should adopt policies to protect children from these harmful and irreversible medical actions,” said Jack Brewer. “From outlawing these pseudo-medical procedures and defending medical professionals who still accept scientific truths and refuse to mutilate our children, to fighting back against the secular zealots in the media — there is much work to do. Our Nation’s children and future depend on it.”
