STATEMENT: Brooke Rollins on Rep. Buchanan’s Bill to Make the TCJA Permanent
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Brooke Rollins, AFPI’s President and CEO, on Representative Vern Buchanan’s legislation to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 permanent:
“The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) accelerated economic growth and allowed Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money. This legislation strengthened America’s competitive edge internationally and has resulted in record business and manufacturing investment right here in America. By incentivizing Americans to work, save, and invest, TCJA delivered non-inflationary economic growth benefitting all Americans. AFPI applauds Congressman Vern Buchanan for introducing legislation to extend TCJA fully and permanently. Making this law permanent would cut taxes for the average family of four by nearly $3,000 a year. This legislation is a key America First priority in the 118th Congress, and we are committed to working with Congressman Buchanan to get this bill across the finish line.”
