Statement: Hogan Gidley Applaud Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21) for Introducing the SAVE Act

Washington, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Hogan Gidley, Vice Chair of the Center for Election Integrity at AFPI, regarding the SAVE Act, a new bill that would prohibit noncitizen voting in United States elections.

“It’s flat out insane that the Left wants to allow non-Americans to vote in American elections. This bill is vital if we are to protect legal votes and legal voters. The fact we even have to engage in a conversation like this shows just how little the Left regards the precious blessing of American citizenship. Throughout the course of history, men and women have died protecting our sacred right to vote - and the Left shows a clear disdain and deep disregard for their sacrifice when they allow illegal aliens to cast ballots in our elections.

This bill is desperately needed because the Biden administration has callously and intentionally allowed tens of millions of illegals to flood into our country in a blatant attack on our election system. American law can and must protect the voting process and ensure that it be a privilege held by, and only held by, the American citizen—and that's exactly what this bill does.”
