The Fight Against the Weaponization of Government Continues
Here we go again.
For years, the radical Left has used everything in its arsenal to attack and suppress the America First conservative movement. The latest example? Using a two-tiered system of justice against any individual it ideologically opposes.
The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) has issued the following statement on the Left's latest attempt to weaponize our government:
The practical effect of the recent announcement is much larger than one individual or one specific case. If the federal government can weaponize the processes and resource allocations of its departments and agencies against one political party, it can unfairly weigh the scales of justice and public opinion in favor of its desired outcomes.
All of this is happening at the same time a $5 million bribery scandal for the current administration is erupting on Capitol Hill. Coincidence? Not if there is a two-tiered system of justice.
Jessica Hart Steinmann, General Counsel at America First Policy Institute (AFPI) and a former senior official at the Department of Justice under President Trump, penned an op-ed titled “The Founders Wouldn’t Recognize This ‘Justice’ System” on the latest weaponization of government plaguing our Nation. Letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan & House Oversight Chairman James Comer
The letter addressed to the House Judiciary Chairman and the House Oversight Chairman on behalf of AFPI's national security leaders details the concerns revealed in Special Counsel John Durham’s “Report on Matters Related to Intelligence Activities and Investigations Arising Out of the 2016 Presidential Elections,” and encourages the respective committees to bring accountability. These actions include clarifying criteria for security clearance issuance, revocation processes and oversight, mitigating political influence, reviewing access to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, and finally, recommending FBI Director Wray testify under oath.
