RESPECT FOR MARRIAGE ACT
November 29, 2022
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The America First Policy Institute today issued the below statement as the Senate votes on the Respect for Marriage Act from Chad Wolf, Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer:
“America was formed as a Nation that honors and respects every person’s right to freedom of religion and their God-given right to exercise that fundamental right without fear of prosecution or persecution.
The Respect for Marriage Act, as it currently stands, threatens the religious freedom of many Americans with deeply held beliefs, and for that reason, it is not an America First policy, but instead is a policy that puts many Americans last.”
