STATEMENT: Ken Blackwell on The Passage of Mississippi House Bill 1310
Washington, D.C. – Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves recently signed into law House Bill 1310, which creates stronger audits, strengthens citizenship requirements, and establishes better voter roll maintenance, re-enforcing Mississippi as a leader in election integrity.
Today, the America First Policy Institute released the following statement from Ken Blackwell, Chair of the Center for Election Integrity (CEI) at the America First Policy Institute, regarding the new Mississippi law:
“On behalf of CEI and election reformers around the country, we congratulate Governor Reeves and the State Legislature in Mississippi for passing and signing House Bill 1310, which promotes transparency, accountability, and accuracy in elections. This critical measure is consistent with CEI’s vision of making it easy to vote, but hard to cheat. CEI has been working across the country in multiple states to make that happen. Mississippi took another great step forward in protecting and securing their elections with this new law, making them a real leader in election integrity.”
