Cooper Smith currently serves as Project Manager, Center for Homeland Security & Immigration.
Cooper most recently served as a communications consultant, where he developed and implemented communications and change management strategies for clients including Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Department of Defense.
Cooper previously served at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including as White House Liaison and Policy Advisor, where he advised DHS senior leadership on personnel decisions, Executive Order implementation, and border security issues. Cooper also served in other roles in the Trump Administration, including as Deputy Associate Director for Appointments at the White House and Special Policy Advisor to Secretary Ben Carson at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
When not working, Cooper is an avid tennis player, aspiring golfer, and enjoys going home to Florida to spend time with his family and dogs.
