AFPI Statement on Gasoline Prices Breaking $5.00 per Gallon

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement from former Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, Chair of the Center for Energy Independence: 

“As America reaches—and passes—the sad milestone of gas costing more than $5 per gallon, I cannot help but think about families already struggling to put food on the table, let alone fill their gas tanks. Despite President Biden’s false claim that there is ‘nothing’ he can do, his administration could easily reduce the pain Americans are feeling at the pump by rescinding his own executive actions and unleashing American energy—most importantly simply getting out of the way. The evidence is clear: sky-high energy prices are the direct result of President Biden’s radical 'green’ policies.”
