Cutting the Tax Burden On Hardworking Georgians
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute’s Georgia State Chapter released the following statement in support of Georgia’s proposed income tax cut acceleration:
“The people of Georgia, like the rest of America, are feeling the impacts of sky-high price increases and interest rates caused by the Biden Administration’s policies,” said Doug Collins, Chair of AFPI-Georgia. “The state’s legislature has an opportunity in 2024 to provide some relief for hardworking Georgians by accelerating planned income tax cuts and putting more money back in people’s pockets. As 2017’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act proved, this is a tried-and-true way to generate economic growth, spur investment, and empower families, and we encourage all lawmakers to prioritize this important policy when they return to Atlanta in January.”
