AFPI Announces Michael Faulkender as Chief Economist
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) announced that Michael Faulkender has been named Chief Economist at AFPI.
Michael Faulkender will lead AFPI’s charge to unleash prosperity and ensure the greatest economy in the world works for all Americans. As Chief Economist, Faulkender will provide research support and policy analysis for each of AFPI’s 20 policy centers.
Before becoming Chief Economist, Faulkender served as Senior Fellow at AFPI. He is also a finance professor at the University of Maryland. Previously, he served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy from 2019–2021. He also previously served on the faculty at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
