STATEMENT: House Votes to Defund 87,000 New IRS Agents
The Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The America First Policy Institute today issued the following statement by Linda McMahon, Chair of the Board of the America First Policy Institute, Director of the Center for the American Worker, and former Administrator of the Small Business Administration following the passage of the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act:
“Today, the House of Representatives put America First by defunding the radical Left’s plans to weaponize the government against small business owners and low- and middle-income families by hiring 87,000 new IRS agents.
We know that fully 70% of audits target families and businesses making less than $200,000 per year, and it was not that long ago when the IRS admitted to targeting conservative groups.
Enough is enough. It is time for politicians in Washington, D.C. to remember that they work for us. We will not tolerate political prosecutions, the government working with Big Tech to censor Americans they do not like, or American heroes being kicked out of the military for standing up for their religious beliefs.”
