AFPI’S CENTER FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY COMMENDS TEXAS STATE LEGISLATURE FOR PASSING COMMON SENSE ELECTION REFORMS
September 03, 2021
Hogan Gidley, Director of the Center for Election Integrity, offered the following statement:
“America First Policy Institute applauds the Texas State Legislature for standing strong to pass common sense election integrity reforms. The Texas bill contains crucial safeguards that protect voters and will help restore trust and confidence in their election process. Provisions like state-wide uniform voting hours, enhanced transparency mechanisms for poll watchers, a crack-down on dishonest ballot traffickers, and improved access to the polls – will help stop fraud. Other states should model that Texas toughness and pass their own voter protection measures that make it easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
