Michael Berry

Michael Berry serves as Executive Director, Center for Litigation at AFPI. Prior to joining AFPI, Michael served on active duty as an attorney with the U.S. Marine Corps and was Vice President of External Affairs for First Liberty Institute. Among his numerous positions within the Marine Corps, Michael deployed to Afghanistan, and he served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the United States Naval Academy. Michael continues to proudly serve our nation as a member of the Marine Corps Reserve.
As Executive Director of AFPI’s Center for Litigation, Michael helps build and lead AFPI’s efforts to restore and defend Americans' most fundamental rights. As a recognized subject-matter expert in several areas, Michael has testified before Congress, and he is routinely invited to speak across the nation. Michael has also been featured hundreds of times in various national media outlets.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, and he earned his law degree from The Ohio State University. When he’s not traveling across the country, Michael can often be found watching English Premier League soccer as an avid Liverpool supporter.
